Iran Archer Wins Gold in Islamic Solidarity Games

Iranian archer Esmaeil Ebadi has displayed his superiority by collecting a gold medal at the third edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Indonesia. 

On Friday, Ebadi recorded an impressive performance in the final match of the men's individual compound section at the Jakabaring Archery Field of the Indonesian city of Palembang, and scored 145 points.


Amir Kazempour of Iran received the silver medal with a total score of 143 points.

The bronze medal in the men's individual compound section also went to another Iranian archer, Hamzeh Nekouei.

Moreover, Iranian sportswoman Minoo Abedi won a bronze medal in the women's individual compound section on Friday. Her Malaysian opponents, Nor Rizah Binti Ishak and Saritha Cham Nong, grabbed the gold and silver medals respectively.

The 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games opened in Palembang on September 22, and will wrap up on October 1.

A total of 88 athletes are representing Iran in the competitions. Athletes from 55 countries are in action across 13 sports.

They are competing in archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, football, karate, swimming, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting and wushu.

Pelari Iran Raih Emas di Nomor Lari 200 meter

INDONESIA UPDATED. Pelari Iran Maryam Toosi merebut medali emas nomor 200 meter putri cabang atletik pada kejuaraan antar negara-negara Islam atau "Islamic Solidarity Games 2013 di Stadion Atletik Jakabaring Palembang, Jumat malam.

Atlet tersebut tampil juara setelah mampu mencatat waktu 23,72 detik dalam pertandingan ISG.

Untuk perak diraih atlet Malaysia, Komalam S dengan catatan waktu 25,16 detik dan perunggu diraih Abir Barkaoui karena hanya mampu mencatat 25,47 detik.

Sementara nomor 200 meter putra Saudi Arabia berjaya karena atletnya Fahhad M mencatat waktu 20,74 detik, disusul Winston (Guyana) dengan waktu 20,77 detik dan perunggu, Reza (Iran) waktu tempuh 20,96 detik.

Sementara 5.000 meter putri atlet Bahrain mendapat medali emas setelah Y Jamal mencatat waktu 16:15.70 detik, disusul Betlhem Desa (Uni Emerat Arab), waktu 16:16.84 dan perunggu, Layes (Azerbaijan), 16:49.08 detik.

Sementara 5000 meter putra Azerbaijan mendapat medali emas setelah Hayle Ibrahimov mencatat waktu, 14:03.12 detik, disusul pelari Turki, Ali kaya (14:04.59) dan perunggunya, El Goumri (Maroko), 14:07.59 detik.

Untuk lempar lembing putra, Ehab (Mesir), 78,96 meter, disusul perak, Fatih Avan (Turki) dengan lemparan 78,15 meter dan perunggu, Ahmed (Mesir), 69,02 meter.

Sementara lompat jangkit putri Yekaterina dari Azerbaijan medali emas dengan lompatan 13,28 meter, peraknya Chnaik Jamaa, Maroko (12,99 M) dan perunggu juga Maroko atas nama Bakhechi (12,89 M)

Iran Athelete Snatches Two More Gold Medals in ISG 2013

Iranian athletes have continued their superb performance at the third edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Indonesia, and bagged two more gold medals.
On Thursday, 28-year-old Iranian sportsman Ehsan Haddadi contested in the men’s discus throwing competitions at the Jaka Baring Athletic Stadium of the Indonesian city of Palembang, and won a gold medal with a 66.03-meter throw.

Iranian male discus thrower Mohammad Samimi claimed the silver medal with a throw of 65.19 meters.

Speaking after men’s discus throwing contests, Haddadi said that he will offer his gold medal to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Also on Thursday, Iranian female shot putter Leila Rajabi snatched the gold in the women's competitions.

The 30-year-old’s winning throw of 17.02 meters came in the second round.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Arzandeh of Iran brought home the silver medal in the long jump with a top effort of 7.70 meters at the Jaka Baring Athletic Stadium.

Iran Claims Three More Golds at 2013 Islamic Solidarity Games

Iranian athletes have managed to grab three more gold medals to raise the country’s total medal count at the 3rd edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Indonesia. 

On Wednesday, Iranian sportsman Keyvan Qanbarzadeh exhibited impressive performance at the Jaka Baring Athletic Stadium of the Indonesian city of Palembang, and won the gold medal in the high jump with a top effort of 2.20 meters.


Iranian female runner Maryam Tousi clocked 11.67 seconds in the women's 100 meter final at the Jaka Baring Athletic Stadium later in the day, and brought home another gold medal. She had run 12.29 seconds in the women’s 100 meter preliminaries.

Also on Wednesday, Reza Qasemi competed in the men’s 100 meters and grabbed a mold medal in the final. He finished his campaign with a time of 10.30 seconds. Qasemi clocked 10.54 seconds in the men’s 100 meter preliminaries.

In ISG 2013, Iran Wins 6 Medals

Iranian karate practitioners have managed to take home six medals, including three golds, at the 3rd edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Indonesia.

 
On Monday, Iranian sportswoman Mahsa Afsaneh exhibited an impressive individual kata performance in the Sriwijaya Promotion Center of the Indonesian city of Palembang, and overcame her Egyptian, Malaysian, and Algerian rivals in her march to the final.
 
She defeated her Turkish opponent, Bigem Giroglu, in the final competition to clinch the gold medal.

Hamideh Abbasali claimed Iran’s second gold medal after she overwhelmed her Egyptian rival Aia Nabil Mousa Ibrahim in the women’s kumite +68 kilogram.

Also on Monday, Iranian karateka Zabihollah Poursheib defeated Atamov Shahin of Azerbaijan in the men’s kumite +84 kilogram and grabbed another gold for the Iranian squad.

Pegah Zangeneh also snatched a silver medal in women’s -68 kilogram kumite after she conceded a defeat against Turkish karate practitioner Merve Coban.
Delaram Dousti raised Iran’s total medal count to five after she collected a silver medal in the women’s -61 kilogram competitions.

Moreover, Nasrin Dousti of Iran brought home a bronze medal in the women’s -50 kilogram kumite contests.
