Syria Wins 2 Gold Medals in Islamic Solidarity Games

Syrian weightlifter Thuraya Subh on Friday came first and won the gold medal in 75 kg category in the 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games, currently held in the Indonesian capital Jakarta

Sunh snatched 82 kg and lifted 108 kg in clean and jerk to make a total of 190 kg and she was followed by two Malaysian weightlifters. 

Syrian weightlifter Ahd Jgheili also won the gold medal in 105 kg category as he snatched 166 kg and had a clean and jerk of 210 kg, coming ahead of the Egyptian and Iraqi weightlifters who came second and third respectively.
Earlier, Bushra Mohammad won the bronze medal in weightlifting in 69 kg category. 

In athletics, Syria's first silver medal went to Majd Ghazal in high jump at 220 cm, while swimmer Ayman Kalziyeh won the bronze medal at the 400 m individual medley.

Turkey Defeat Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Syria Shared The Score

The Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) 2013 football branch has begun. The opening match in group A has been implemented and established as number one primera of the group for awhile.
 
Playing at Madya Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium in Palembang, Thursday (19/9) afternoon, Turkey as a top of the group in fact have left ahead of Iraq. Iraq was able to bully Turkey through Amjed Waleed Hussein’s goal in 12 minutes. Turkey able to equalized the score through Yakup Alkan’s goal in 56 minutes.


However, Luay Hasan brought back the preeminance of Iraq in 68 minutes. Turkey looks tired having just arrived on Wednesday (18/9), capable of being risen and reversing the circumstamces through Rahman Nisanci in 85 minutes. 3-2 score bring Iraq led the primera of group A.

While in the next match Saudi Arabia and Syria have to shared their score after drew 1-1. Syria was leading with a free kick through Hussein Al Jawayed in 35 minutes, unable to retaining the score until end of the match.

Saudi Arabia played insistent able to catch up through their substitute Al Hasem Abdullah Ibrahim in 77 minutes. 1-1 hold out to the end of the match.
But Syria’s coach, Anas, claimed to be greatful to grab the points. “We are in a strong group, so a draw is very good to us. In the next we will try not to make any mistakes anymore. This is a good start for us to be first settled again”, he said after the match. (Adr)
